Jarrett B. Davis

Jarrett Davis joined Built Environments in 2023 to lead and expand the company’s building science practice. A master builder and technical consultant with more than 20 years of experience in manufacturing, consulting, designing, and installation of building enclosure products, Jarrett specializes in helping product manufacturers, architects, engineers, and contractors improve products and projects with a focus on building science.

As Principal Building Scientist at Built Environments, Jarrett’s work is centered around putting the science into building science by assisting start-ups, existing industry and technology leaders with research and development, codes and advocacy, materials testing, installation best practices, existing construction analysis, and complex modeling and testing of sustainable and efficient building design for the present and the future.

Jarrett’s experience has garnered national and international recognition including awards and presentations from key industries involving the building enclosure. Jarrett has, and is currently, serving on International Code Council (ICC) committees to develop the codes and standards that we use in construction today and tomorrow. He also serves on numerous organizational boards and committees for energy efficiency, ASTM, ASHRAE to name a few.

Outside of the lab, Jarrett can be found speaking to many code enforcement groups, college and trade education training centers, as well hands on field collaboration with installers, designers, and contractors. But most importantly he enjoys spending time teaching his children and others how to fly and see the world from a different perspective.
