Michael Schmeida, LEED AP, FASTM

Michael joins us after nearly a decade at the Gypsum Association, where he served as Director of Codes, Standards and Research. There, he championed building code development, represented industry interests at ASTM and NFPA, oversaw industry wide testing programs, and managed the publication of the Gypsum Association’s technical documents used throughout North America.

With over 20 years in the building industry spanning waterproofing, air barriers, fire safety, and even plumbing, Michael brings a wealth of experience to our team. He holds Chemistry degrees from The University of Akron (Go Zips!), is a LEED AP, and was recently honored as an ASTM Fellow.
